Caring for our community at Christmas time

This December Anwyl Construction have teamed up with Pennaf Housing Group to support an emergency accommodation for Homeless People.

The Ty Gwyn emergency bed scheme is currently being run by the teams at the Pennaf Housing Group and provides temporary emergency accommodation and safety for homeless people.

We have contributed by providing essential items, which will now be donated to those in need who may arrive at shelter. The items include; warm jumpers, trousers, hats, gloves, socks and jackets – these items will be given to those in need to keep as their own.

In addition, we have purchased some emergency dressing gowns and slippers for the shelter to lend on arrival to allow for existing clothing to be washed and dried.

Tom Anwyl, Construction Director has commented:

“It is our fantastic long-standing relationship with Pennaf that has allowed us to get involved with this initiative, it gives us a great sense of well-being to be able to help people in need of safety and shelter, especially at this time of the year. It is our aspiration to continue our support to Ty Gwyn in the new year.”

Louise Blackwell at Pennaf added:

“We’d like to thank Anwyl for all of their ongoing support again this year, it makes such a difference to some of our most vulnerable residents and we’re all very grateful for these outcomes that our partnership with them brings.”
