Festive Fundraising at the Anwyl Group

Share

Business as usual saw us take part in Christmas Jumper Day for another year this December and raise a fantastic £649 for charity.

Across the Anwyl Group, we celebrated Christmas by wearing our best festive knits to work, whilst raising money for the official event charity Save the Children.

Staff in our head office and on sites took part in the festive fund-raiser by donating money to wear jumpers, Christmas costumes and to play Christmas themed games.

In head office we created our own ‘Pin the nose on Rudolph‘ game with a donation charge per entry and prizes for the winners. We also conducted a best dressed competition with first, second and third prizes given out, the competitions really boosted the enthusiasm for the day and all prizes were gifted to the festivities by our company.

Mathew Anwyl, Homes Managing Director has commented:

“The Christmas jumper day initiative is such a great way to raise money for charity, as it means everyone gets to have some fun in the process. It was a fantastic day across our business on that Friday, seeing staff both in the office and on sites coming together, having fun and getting into the Christmas spirit. Thank you to all of the staff who dug deep in their own pockets to help raise our superb total of £649.”

Save the Children is a charity that supports children in the UK and around the world to provide safety, medication, sanitation, education and other vital supplies. Only £2 can buy anti-biotics for five children suffering from Pneumonia, whereas up to £16 can equip a midwife in Afghanistan with a birthing kit. We’re excited to donate our grand total and see causes such as these supported.
